I guess we won't find out, at least for now. As I said I was very satisfied with the story, and Spike had some strong moments whatsoever (like being strong-willed enough to withstand the illusion cast on him by Nightmare Rarity). Although given his status in team, he probably could work as the one with weak self-esteem too. But then again the writers of the comic tend to handle the characters a bit different than those from the show. Rarity seems to be not as greedy as she actually can be seemed on show, and Luna can be much more playful and emotion driven than it was hinted in show so far
Very nice , the background on this one's gorgeous, it really feels anguished and cheerless. I should really start learning to draw at some point, I'm starting to feel kind of pitiful with my vectors and quasi-traces. Personally, I would have gone with colors just a little bit closer to his normal scheme, but since it's pretty obvious who it is to start, it doesn't really matter. Was that your choice or as described by the author?
Yeah totally, switching to drawning opened me a path to some ideas I would never do when working on vectors - my last drawning, like this with Rarity and Crab or Spike, AJ and Timberwolve - I couldn't to this in vectors
Maybe later, don't know when though, but I will try fuuny thing: actually I was planning drawning only him and whole his look at the begining but later on You mentioned about the scene, so well the idea had to be revamped a bit
I enjoy sad and touching comics quite a lot... And even comedy can get boring if done all of the time, without switching themes and types of humor at least. For example, CSIMadMax's comics are starting to bore me a bit, because they got a bit predictable lately (what a blasphemy!).
Of course variety IS appreciated and very much needed to keep whole this fresh - I just tend to like light (don't confuse with dumb) humorous ones the most and it doesn't mean I hate the ones with a bit more serous tone But really it depends on the writing, everything can be sold with the right writing.
hahaha oh my goodness xD that's funny light and clever. I know, yeah it's not easy, hell working on anything that requiers such emotion like humour is VERY hard since it's something very subjective and depends on a person. For what it means, I consider Your writing good, and those moments which suppose to be funny actually ARE funny
Thank you. Subjectivity is indeed a quite big problem when making humorous stuff, I've met some people that find most of my stuff boring, as they prefer different types of humor from what I do... But you also can make everyone happy and there's no sense to even try doing that, so I'm very happy that people find my work amusing most of the time.
That's true there is no chance of making everyone happy, You will get to no one trying to do so, the best thing is doing the kind of humour You feel will most fit Your mood and personality, and it definetely will catch some attention
